About our Community Outreach

Our Community Outreach program is dedicated to building stronger, more inclusive communities by actively engaging with families, educators, and local organizations. Through initiatives like community conversations, and townhalls we create safe, open spaces for families to share their experiences, discuss challenges, and connect with others who understand their journey. These conversations are essential for fostering understanding and creating supportive networks for children with disabilities.

In partnership with local masjids, we work to ensure that places of worship are accessible and inclusive for all. We provide educational sessions, accessibility audits, and collaborate with religious leaders to create environments where children and youth with disabilities can fully participate in religious and community life. Our goal is to ensure that no child or family feels excluded from their faith community due to disability.

Our school visits program aims to educate students, teachers, and administrators about disability inclusion and the unique needs of racialized children with disabilities. Through interactive workshops, we raise awareness, break down barriers, and promote a culture of acceptance and inclusion in educational settings. By partnering with schools, we help ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive in an accessible, understanding, and supportive environment. Through these outreach efforts, we’re committed to making communities more understanding, accessible, and welcoming for children with disabilities and their families. Our holistic approach empowers families, educates communities, and builds lasting, inclusive connections.
