Book a Workshop!

SMILE Canada’s Disability and Inclusion Workshops are open to community organizations, schools, students, and the wider community across Canada interested in implementing better inclusive practices.

Sessions are delivered through a trauma-informed lens and human rights approach, addressing the intersectional needs of equity-seeking and underserved populations. Topics such as language, assumption and bias, ableism, intersectionality, and more are covered.

SMILE Canada is an approved partner with TDSB, facilitating presentations to students, educators and parents across TDSB schools. This partnership enables us to deliver impactful presentations on: disability awareness and inclusion to students in classrooms, cultural responsive practices within the classroom for educators, and general information on SMILE's services and supports for parents and the community.

Our workshops and presentations aim to raise awareness on the intersectional needs of racialized children and youth with disabilities and critical illness and their families, with a focus on diverse Muslim communities, including refugee and immigrant families.
